Eventually, natural gas will be so much more expensive that coal will seem like the better option.
The ash from coal plants and the captured carbon dioxide is very valuable to several key industries.

Convert an unused coal and oil fired power plant to 'quick start' natural gas power plant. Environmental groups were opposed but with the loss of taxable income and jobs, some have changed their mind. No LNG tankers in the harbor or storage tanks but an off loading terminal one mile offshore. Don't use 'dirty' coal! Less coal and oil electrical production and more 'cheaper' renewable energy from solar, wind, hydro, thermal, tidal and nuclear is possible. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

F*&K the green movement. NOTHING humans can create, hasn't already existed. It all eventually returns to it's normal state. Nature abhors a vacuum and seaks normality.

This article is getting quite long in the tooth. Economics needs to be weighed into the equation.

Wake up greenies, economics is important. What would happen 20-30 years from now if electricity demand keeps increasing and there's no local source of power? Higher electric costs, brownouts, etc.

The problems with these agreements: They look so good on paper, but when the company's done with what they want to do, they move on and leave a HUGE mess in your backyard.

You can not please the environmentists, they will find fault with every thing but don't take away their A/C, electricity, heat and automobiles. They would give these up if they believed what they preach.
