Ohio comes in second, with prices today averaging 17c/gal lower than a year ago (today $3.69, year ago $3.86)
Michigan comes in third, with prices averaging 16c/gal lower than a year ago (today $3.81, year ago $3.97)

good, but can i say i see a lot of negative replys on here , most of them from the scared paranoid bama haters. get a life you all and just stick to the facts , not some paranoid rant because you need to vent your misdirected anger.

Prices were very bad last year. Is this supposed to be good news? It it NOT.

The spin and propaganda are wondrous to watch!

Wait until the summer gas blend hits the market. Gas prices will jump along with the fact that the start of the summer driving season is a month away with Memorial Day holiday. Let's see if the crowing about lower gas prices is still being heard then.

If gas prices go up slowly with lots of ups and downs, people get use to them. If gas went up $3 gallon in a day there would be rioting.

@BlueTucson

For instance, let's take this example:

Average cost of gasoline per gallon(throughout year) = $4

12,000mi per year = 400 gallons used(30mpg) = $1600
25,000mi per year = 833.33 gallons used(30mpg) = $3333
30,000mi per year = 1000 gallons used(30mpg) = $4000
50,000mi per year = 1666.66 gallons used(30mpg) = $6666.66
100,00mi per year = 3333.33 gallons used(30mpg) = $13333.33

Regardless of whether it's 3.29 one day, 4.59 another, or 1.99 on another, the point is that if it "adds up" to an average of $4 per gallon for you personally...for the year...then gas prices are still always the same, virtually, for you. In real terms:

$1600 per year = $1600
$3333 per year = $3333
$4000 per year = $4000
$6666.66 per year = $6666.66
$13333.33 per year = $13333.33

$4 per gallon is still $4 per gallon.

But then again, we're not promised another day alive, let alone a stable gas price...

As far as this goes, reducing gas costs can only truly be accomplished (money-wise) by:

A. Belief
B. Lies
C. Individual choices and or sacrifice
D. Reduction in greed, power, control, etc. (may involve "ripping yourself off", not receiving "proper pay", etc.)
E. A combination of any of the above.
F. All of the above

(sigh)..................
