I was in the business in the 70's. I know for a fact that the enviroterrorists were killing nuclear power long BEFORE TM! !!

by UncleCurt  Jan 29, 2010

"the enviroterrorists of the 70's managed to kill nuclear power. " What actually killed it was the 1979 incident of 3 Mile Island killed that nuclear power (helped by the release of the movie The China Syndrome 2 weeks prior). The incident scared everyone and was not helped by the lackluster, incompetent way that the company (that owned the power plant) handled the situation. Chernobyl in 1986 didn't help. People still are not allowed within 20 miles of it. I think the lies are not exclusively from one political side and party but as we all know most if not all politicians and many of their side's supporters have been lying since the beginning of politics and ideologies. Who can trust completely and unfailing any politicians?

Anthropocentric global warming is a SCAM!
Keep up the good fight. We can't let the "Watermelons" win!

Excellent post regarding the new prez's broken promise on controlling the speculators. My guess is that it is another one of his PR spins. Just lots of talk and no actions.

WTH! I submitted this article pal!

by UncleCurt  Sep 09, 2009

Good point about "Inflation Fear Pushes U.S. Endowments Deeper Into Commodities" being a "stretch" for an energy article. I posted it in more relation to the the stakes in the commodities like oil and natural gas the school wanted to expand funds in and the relation to economic downturn regardless of government efforts. I am glad you did not outright dismiss it. Thank you.
