Sorry 2005 average price was 2.17. In 2009 I got rid of my truck and got an Avenger that got over 32 mpg and soon I stopped keeping records.

I think the year you are talking about was 2008. My average gas price was 2.96 that year (St. Louis), the hightest I paid was 3.99, the lowest I paid was $1.33 on 12/31/2008
