Detroit Free Press -- Chrysler said Wednesday that it will keep four plants running through July without observing the traditional two-week summer shutdown and has begun production of the Dodge Dart in Belvidere, Ill.

Belvidere, Toluca, Mexico, Toledo, and Jefferson North will stay open to keep up with demand, which for many Chrysler products continues running well ahead of the industry's overall selling pace.

The company announced earlier this week that Jefferson North in Detroit would build the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs without interruption in July.

Left up to Mitt or the GOP, you'd be erecting a headstone on this industry.Vote for these mental midgets in Nov. and they'll finish the recession the Texas Idiot help create into a depression. The GOP has become more of a Plutocratic Party than ANYTHING else, corporate funded with an elaborate cable echo chamber for distortion control, and sheeple followers unable to think for themselves. What a pathetic mess!!! LMAO!!!

Must be government workers and unions buying these vehicles.

1) Who else has money to buy a car?
2) Who else would by a government car?

I WAS a MoPar man but the bloom has been off that rose for a long time.

Go Ford! Not owned by government - yet.
