persianpride - what religion CLAIMS a piece of land as their own? Why your own belief of ISLAM! What about your belief's claims to Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem?
Zionism exists because for a very long time Jews were FORBIDDEN to go to Israel. Many came anyway, but that's not the point. And under the 1948 partition, Muslims used to shoot at Jews who came to the Kotel (Western Wall) to pray. So, yes. It seems like the Zionist dream is alive and well due the illegal activities of various extremist Palestinians.
Speaking of which, if you're Iranian, what issue have you with Israel? You've started 3 topics, I gather to defame Judaism via nationalistic politics. If this is not so, please clearly state your purpose. Cannot the Palestinians carry on their own debate? I found it interesting that the Hezbollah wanted to make their recent aggressions about the Palestinian issue. To which Abbas and the PA basically said: "hold on a minute.. we're the voice of the Palestinian people, not you. Don't use us for your political purposes."

--And apparently so will the Palestinians. I don't see the Israelis shooting sniper rifles at innocent Palestinians walking down the street. Nor do I hear of Israelis blowing themselves up with homocide bombs on Palestinian busses and crowded marketplaces.You know, I don't understand the attitude of the Palestinians. To a very great extent they used to be the intelligista of the Arab world. They were doctors, lawyers and engineers. But look at them now. A sad state.
But think about it a minute. For 2 or 3 MILLENIA Jews have lived peaceably in all Arab countries. So now that control of the land passed to Jews, why do the Palestinians think they'll get any less than a "fair shake"? Jews in the Arab lands are denied rights of full citizenship (examples: Iran and Syria; Morocco is a noted exception). But what would happen if the Palestinians would finally accept Israeli citizenship and participate in the political process? Peace would break out all over! That and the Palestinians would have full rights. How is it that they consider it an affront to live under the control of a Jewish-inspired government? Sounds like intolerance to me.

What's wrong with that??? What other religion claims they have a RIGHT to certain chunk of the earth? Not only that...Zionists will do anything and everything to ensure that they can own this chunk of land...even if they have to resort to usurping the land of other people who have had a long history there. Jewish people could have and, in fact, were living in the area prior to the creation of Israel. Zionism is not about giving Jews the right to live there - instead, Zionism is all about controlling the land and doing all types of illegal activities to retain this control.

Zionism is the priniple that Jewish folks have a historic right to live in and visit the land of Israel. So what's wrong with that? Why would you be against that? If you talk about the extremist Jews (not by any means a majority of Jews in Israel or in the world), yes, they want to build settlements on the West Bank and even in Gaza. I'd tell you most Jews in Israel and in the diaspora would probably support the two State solution. That is, IF the Palestinians can agree on who's in charge and if they can GUARANTEE safety (no terror, no bombings, no rockets, no mortars, no snipers). So far no "leader" of the Palestinians has been able to guarantee these (or even to stop them). So it begs the question: "Who's in charge"? because that's whom they need to negotiate with.
By the way - for a less biased description of what goes on in the Mid East, try a website called www.CAMERA.org. This group is for truth in reporting on Mid East affairs. OR at least check them out after you've seen Al Alam or IRIB-2.
