My heater / A/C blower now only works on level 5. 1 thru 4 do nothing. fuses are OK. Is there a fan control block or something else for this fan? I am dreading tearing the dash apart to check the controller.

Thanks Troyer27i....
You were right on the money.
I got the resistor & put it in this past weekend.
Fan works great now.
Now I need to work on my back after trying to contort to fit under the dash.

The most likely culprit is what is called a blower motor resistor.

Also, to buy this part u could save an extra $5 buy ordering it online from Advance Auto Parts and picking it up at your local store

Or NAPA offers a small percentage off the purchase if your a valid AAA member.

Good luck !

I was suspecting it. Is is a separate switch ( dial ) for the fan or is it part of the panel with the temp switch ( dial )?

I'm thinking the switch itself may be defective if it's only recognizing high speed. May have to tear the dash apart.
