I JUST BOUGHT ONE! It is awesome and don't regret it or anything. The ride is smooth, plenty of power, good looks, standard CD. Standard tranny is very easy to use :) Sounds nice when revving it up a bit, I've never gone really high because it is brand new.
A test was done and the Cobalt/Pursuit is better quality than the Civic or Corolla, but that can also be personal opinion...
I highly recommend it!!!!!!

Pursuit is coming to the US as "G5".
Badge engineering at its best....

I have never owned one but I have driven one. I drove one both in the city and the highway and all I can say is smooth. The engine revs smoothly and there is a huge difference between the old Sunfire and the new Pursuit. The interior quality is very good. I would definately test drive a Pursuit or the twin the Cobalt before making any car buying decisions, it just might change your mind.

I had an 01 Sunfire GT and if the Pursuit is as good a car as the Sunfire it should be just fine.

Nah, people already associate GM with badge engineering too many models. Personally, I think they should dump the Torrent. Pontiac doesn't need an Equinox....

Wonder if Pontiac should sell the Pursuit stateside as well? It's been done before, as many of our Canadian buddies know. The original Astre (nee Vega) was sold in Canada in '73 and '74 before it came to the U. S. in mid-year '75...and the Parisienne/Caprice saved Pontiac's bacon in mid-'83 when many American dealers were crying for a big "B"-body full-size car to compete with or at least be "equivalent to models sold by Chevrolet under the nameplate 'Caprice.'"
Unfortunately, it worked both ways, since at one time you had both an Acadian and a T-1000 in Canadian Pontiac showrooms...both were Chevette clones.

How is your car in the last few days in the snow. Are you 17" tires high performance summer tires or just good all seasons. Seriously considering getting one with all the promotions going on and it looks far better than the Cobalt

Rented a Holden Astra in Australia ( 1800cc ) which is a Opel Astra rebadged built in Belgium
The Chev Cobalt and Pontiac Pursuit are the USA / Cdn version of the same car.
It drove well. a little thirsty compared to the 3.6 DOHC Commadore I just driven 5,000ks across the Nullabor.

Geeezzeee he asked about pursuits ppl not Grand Prixs and Grand Ams! I have driven one for the last 4 months. Amazing on gas and it has lots of HSPR over imports and north american small cars. You can get in a base model or SE. Being from London, Ontario I can tell you with the way gas prices are right now I would drive this thing forever. The Pursuit has a few more standard features over the Cobalt.....manual lumber seat.... standard spoiler, etc, etc. My car has 17" aftermarket wheels and a raven exhaust. Silver looks good on the car, but you have to get it tinted. Any other questions? No problems to report!

The Pontiac Pursuit is a Canadian-only car, but you probably already knew that.

What fuel milage are you guys getting in your Grand Prixs? My Fiance has a 2000 GP GT with a 3800 V6 and it seems to really suck gas.

Unfortunately, my Grand Prix is a '97. BUT, I'll bet you that a lot of people don't know that some cars, especially a G.P., that if the battery goes dead that You can't shift your auto. transmission out of Park. It takes a hi-amp jumper system to get it in-gear and/or started.
