One thing I hate about MLB compared to the NHL is that it is way too slow and too long, and I'm talking particularly about the AL. Yesterday's Boston-LA game, it was just after 11 PM they were in the 8th inning and at about 12:30 AM the game just ended with the walk-off home run. The game lasted over 4 hours without even playing extra innings and if there was extra innings, maybe they would have still be playing at dawn (just joking). Do you think that baseball games are going too slow, should they force them to finish it inside a 3-hour period (without the extra innings) and speed up the game - that just makes quite often this league quite boring with overpaid players?

If you thought that the 4 Hours of baseball was long, then you haven't seen the 22 Inning game which took 6 Hours and 16 Minutes of baseball between the San Diego Padres and Colorado Rockies on Thursday, April 17, 2008. The game started at 7:05 PM (Pacific Time) and ended at 1:21 AM (Pacific Time).

Depends on who is pitching, and how many runs are scored. But Yes, some games just seem to take forever.

I thought it might be different being it was on TBS this year. Still games are ending too late and are too long

It is baseball so what do you expect? All of the other major team sports play to a time limit by quarters, halves, or periods. Baseball plays 9 innings no matter how long it takes and if it is tied after "regulation" then they just play "extra innings". That is IMO one of the charms of the game and putting an artificial time limit on time between pitches or whatever would ruin the game.
IMO the one change that absolutely MUST be made is to have the NL finally join the rest of the baseball world and add the DH!
Does anybody really go to a baseball game to watch the pitcher swing meekly at 3 strikes and then take their seat back in the dugout?!

If your in attendance it is not bad. Watching on tv with dreary announcers makes it long.

They should speed up the game. They used to have a time clock with noone on base
