The Spurs were due for a rout of Denver last night after being in close games all the time in the series. If not for Steve Blake in the dying minutes of 2nd qtr, the Nugs would've been buried right there and then.

The Spurs made it look fairly easy, this time.

You're probably right Yam, GS has all the underdogs believing they can topple the top seeds! But the Spurs aren't just any run-of-the-mill top seed!

The Spurs endured everything the Nuggets threw at them: all the alley-oop dunks, their energy, their crowd, the lack of calls by the refs (not whining about that but they didn't get to the line hardly at all last nite), some awesome ball handling and moves in the paint by AI and 'Melo, big time blocks by Camby and Nene wasn't too shabby either!
And yet the heart of a champion stills prevails! Love 'em or hate 'em, are those Spurs awesome or what?!!! One more to go...

I'd like them to get an extra 2 days rest over whatever the Suns have. Won't stop any momentum, but give the older guys some rest.

Spurs win the series one way or the other, what I can't decide is: is it better if they do it in 7 and keep playing right on thru or do they do with less games, rest, then have to get back into a groove for Phoenix? What do ya think?

Nice win for the Spurs last night. Good defensive effort against the big scorers from Denver.

definitely a must-win game for the Spurs tomorrow. can't afford to go down 0-2 to the Nugs!

My Spurs were beat and it's all Pops fault. Longhorn is right. you rest your players and they turn out to loose a game, just look at Golden State what they did to the Mavs......

<sigh> "Rest" in the NBA = "Out of Synch" when those players come back. I just hate to see guys sit on the bench for "meaningless games" and lose the edge they have from playing everyday. Well, we'll find out if the Spurs can bounce back.

So much for my predicted sweep. The key question is, however, can the Nuggets put together another game like that where all of their scorers contributed and did so solidly? I don't think so. Go Spurs

Much as I'd like to Mello and AI move on, it's going to be the Spurs.
