Do not worry coming soon will be the Gold Standard for fuel purchase.
all Gold will be weighted before purchase, plus an additional 30 percent allowing for price increase.

Around here, the price on the signs are always credit. The HyVee station gives a cash/check discount but posts the credit price outside.

I'm afraid I don't agree with this change in the years-long (at least 10!) policy. If "GasBuddy's goal is to help everyone make wise fueling decisions", the posting of the cash price makes it difficult to do so. Unlike in the past when every station was "5 cents discount for cash", the difference is now variable. At one station, for example, the price is today $3.45 cash $3.55 credit, while another is $3.45 cash $3.51 credit. Both would now show as $3.45, but only one is the wisest fueling decision for the credit customer. I've also never seen the places with the huge cash/credit differences having the cheapest cash prices around, so choosing the lowest credit price would lead to low cash prices (of course, cash only joints are the lowest). Simple, everyone can find the best. Now, the site has become useless to find the best price for gas for me - I have to rely on the kindness of someone posting a comment in the credit price.

We don't have cash versus credit cards within this area. All prices posted are cash prices.

It's confusing unless you add a note that's the case. Someone here posts the price if you buy a carwash which is worse.

agree with the following statement,
"The cash price is the lower price, right? Gasbuddy is to help us find the LOWEST price for gas." DerTaubman

I would still post the credit price. If a cash price is offered at a discount, those who pay cash will find out when they get there.

Don't paint all the stations with the same brush. Here in south Mississippi, most stations have three grades of gas, and ALL of them have at least two. Simply not a good idea to use the columns for anything else than reporting a price for that blend of fuel --> saves confusion

Many of the stations in my area have both prices posted but some members still don't get it. They'll put the credit price in as "premium" and put nothing in the comments field. Some stations just sell regular - they've done away with premium and ultimate all together.

Glad to see the change in policy! I just hope everyone remembers to include the credit price differences in their comments.

Back in the day they may have wanted you to post the higher of the two prices. But, today we all post the lowest price offered. Many stations don't even use the two-tiered prices, anyway. That is so yesterday.

Yeah, I did know this. But thanks for making the thread so others will see it. And at bluenvoy, no...because the lowest price could be prices with a car wash...
